Automated Backup for SQL Server 2016 in Azure
Good news for people using SQL 2016 on Azure. Microsoft now support automated backup for SQL Server 2016.
This involve VM running on Windows Server 2012 r2 & Windows 2016 only and does not support SQL 2014 yet.
This new configuration will be available by clicking on SQL Server Configuration as below
You can then, setup SQL Backup for automated backup and chose your frequency/retention…
